Chris Magliozzi Operations Manager Chris joined BayPoint Builders after running his own construction company for many years. "Our BayPoint staff is extremely talented and has years of experience. The thing I like best about working with a bigger group of colleagues here is the ability to bounce ideas off of each other. It’s really dynamic and great for our clients to be able to tap into so much accumulated knowledge. When I worked for myself, I didn’t have the same opportunity to collaborate and get different perspectives." As the Operations Manager, Chris touches each of our projects. "This is an exciting time to be in construction. People are becoming more and more |

Lexington, MA – Addition and renovation
to an 1840s arts and crafts farmhouse. The
attic was built out and dormers added.
Decorative exposed rafter tails were restored
and matched. Interior renovations included
a new custom kitchen with custom built-ins, four
new bathrooms with radiant flooring, custom
tile, cabinets and built-ins. The project
involved tremendous detail throughout including
quarter sawn oak flooring, stained glass
windows, wainscoting, bead board, custom
interior wooden shutters, doors and hardware and
magnificent entry doors. A serenity
garden was created in the rear of the house with
a field stone retaining wall, granite stairs,
mahogany deck and a hand crafted pergola. The
existing structure’s rubble foundation combined
with ground water caused problems with the
finished basement space. BayPoint
installed a new drainage system, rebuilt the
existing foundation, put in a new foundation for
the addition with a stone veneer and
waterproofed the basement. The transition
between the addition and the existing structure
from both the interior and exterior is seamless.
Wellesley, MA - Complete interior and exterior renovation and addition to a residence located in the Wellesley historical district (Circa 1884). BayPoint was involved in this project during the pre-construction and design phase. We worked with the owners, architect and historic commission members resulting in an un-compromised design that satisfied the owner, national register of historic homes, and the town officials. A large addition was extended off the back of the house to add on a family media room and commercial-grade custom kitchen. The entire exterior was stripped to reveal remaining period details, which were restored. Custom milled interior and exterior trim were created to match existing antique details. Cambridge, MA – Complete gut and renovation of a 4-story, Victorian home in Cambridge including a gourmet custom kitchen, six new bathrooms, a new center staircase and prominent entry foyer. The project included six new fireplaces with custom mantels and built-ins throughout the home crafted by BayPoint. A sunken patio was added to the rear of the house and new multi-level radius decks. Turn of the last-century Victorian details were recreated throughout the home and a separate in-law apartment was added with interior finishes to match. There were many challenges to this project including a very tight site, sensitive neighbor relations and the underpinning of the entire basement to lower the floor by two feet and level the house. Newton, MA – Restoration and renovation of a traditional English style carriage house into an in-law apartment with a 3-car garage below. Renovations included a new gourmet kitchen with custom built-ins and stone countertops, and a new bath with tumbled mosaic tile. The exterior was restored and matching windows were installed to enhance the interior lighting and to take advantage of the views of the adjacent Country Club. Newton, MA – Complete renovation of a traditional colonial home as a result of a pipe bursting and flooding the entire home. The renovations included a new custom gourmet kitchen, family room, living room, dining room, parlor and 3 baths. BayPoint replicated the antique molding and detailing throughout the home. We also worked closely with the designer to coordinate the installation and execution of high–end, custom furnishings including window treatments, wall coverings and carpets. Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA – Addition and renovations to a 1960’s international style contemporary home including a 2-car garage, guest suite, music room and a stair tower with a study at the top. In order to build the foundation for the addition, BayPoint had to blast into solid granite adjacent to the main house. The owner required precise architectural detail for both the exterior and interior. Exterior stone cladding and an aged copper curved roof gracefully enhance the original structure. The schist stone for the curtain wall entry, found in only one place in the world, Ashfield, Massachusetts, was carefully hand selected. Extensive glazing was added to the rear of the house to take advantage of the magnificent view over the town and harbor. The interior included an elegant cherry ceiling and cherry cabinetry, a see-through fireplace, a new HVAC system, and extensive indirect lighting details to enhance the architecture. Brookline, MA – Total gut and renovation of a 4-story condo designed by CBT. The project included a new custom kitchen with stone and marble countertops and custom cabinetry, new bathrooms, granite, marble and hardwood floors with radiant heat, and a grand central staircase spanning four floors. BayPoint’s careful planning allowed this client to move in as planned on their tight schedule. South Boston – This Brownstone renovation included a modern gourmet kitchen and raised wood floors with concealed mechanical systems. The challenging restrictive site conditions and sensitive neighborhood impact concerns created unique political and construction challenges. BayPoint took the lead to gain political and community approval resulting in project design and completion that attained mutually satisfactory results for vested community members and homeowners. Winchester, MA – 6800 sq. ft Victorian home featured on the Winchester Country Club. The interior features an open foyer with an open curved stairway and balcony, bay windows and cathedral and vaulted ceilings. The exterior consisted of a custom architectural wrap around porch, cedar siding and fish scale shingles, column lined patio extending the length of the house, blue stone patios and wall around the perimeter of the home. Hopkinton, MA – 7200 sq. ft two stories, constructed of Red Brick, column lined entry with oversized foyer, three car garage under, finished basement rec room, Cathedral ceiling in the living room and family rooms, three fireplaces, island kitchen, massive detailed staircases, and exquisitely detailed trim and moldings. Ashburnham, MA – A lakeside country home complete with marble baths, hardwood staircases, skylights, multi-level living spaces, fieldstone fireplaces and natural wood trim.
